May 2022 Highlights
May – another month done and dusted for the Rise team! Check out what we’ve been up to…
St John Ambulance + The Sunday Times
We created this five-part campaign for St John Ambulance, showcasing five different individuals who had been through the St John Ambulance training program. The videos explored how their training and expertise had saved and changed lives.
We produced the films using a small team – Dan Morbin as Director, Aurelia as DOP, and Adrian Sutton and Dan Smith as Producers – and shot on the RED, all around the UK.
The trickiest part of this project was conducting the interviews around such sensitive subjects. We aimed to get each person to tell their story in a way that felt real and engaged their emotions, while making sure they felt comfortable during the sessions.
During filming, we used the iDirect, which allowed Dan to talk to the interviewees directly and capture a more natural flow of conversation.
Many thanks to our brilliant team and the incredible individuals who told us their stories.
Audemars Piguet + Black Rabbit Projects
We filmed this fun fashion event, hosted by luxury watchmaker Audemars Piguet and created by immersive experience specialists Black Rabbit Projects at the iconic London venue, Koko. We attended the event to capture footage for a post-event highlights reel, including live performances and an evening of excitement.
Times+ Event: Platinum Jubilee
In the lead up to the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee, we created this online event for Times+ subscribers. The talk featured journalist Manveen Rana as host, alongside two panellists – Royal Editor Roya Nikkhah and Writer Valentine Low – discussing all things royal family. We filmed this on the 17th floor of the News UK building with incredible views across London.
Times+ Event: Operation Mincemeat
We conducted this multicam panel session for The Times subscribers, celebrating the launch of Operation Mincemeat.
The panel session included Ben Macintyre (Author and Times Columnist), Kelly Macdonald (Actress), Matthew Macfadyen (Actor) and Kevin Maher (Chief Film Critic at The Times).
We facilitated the production with set design, creating a WWII-inspired backdrop in keeping with the film’s setting.
