The Brief

YouTube sponsored The Brit Awards and asked us to create some red carpet content with Amelia Dimoldenberg.

We worked with Amelia’s fantastic team in both 2022 and 2023 at the BRIT awards. Both years, the brief was to produce short, snappy edits that could be pushed out as YouTube Shorts on Amelia’s channel.

Crucially, the brief called for speed and agility – we needed to film, edit and finalise videos immediately on-site so that the shorts could be uploaded that very same night.

We filmed each interview with Amelia from two angles, framing both for 9×16 vertical and 16×9 landscape.

Set Up & Production

We captured footage at a dedicated booth on the red carpet, following Amelia as she called various celebrities and artists over for interviews and chats. We filmed each interview from two angles, framing both for 9×16 vertical (for YouTube Shorts) and 16×9 landscape (full length highlights video). Amelia interviewed a huge range of artists including Ed Sheeran, Little Simz, Aitch, among many others.

Our editing team were set up with a NAS server, allowing all editors to work simultaneously from one location…  Much better than having multiple hard drives flying around.

In total, our team completed 31 edits: 30x 1 minute YouTube Shorts and 1x 3 minute highlights edit that encompassed the best soundbites from each interview.
