St John Ambulance
Could You Save A Life
The Brief
We created this five-part campaign for St John Ambulance, showcasing five different individuals who had been through the St John Ambulance training program. The videos explored how their training and expertise had saved and changed lives.
Kit, Setup & Producton
We shot this series in various locations around the UK across the course of a few weeks. We filmed this using our in house RED Gemini and Sigma lenses. An EyeDirect was attached to the front of the lens which allowed Dan, our director, to maintain eye contact with the interviewees throughout the interview, whilst they looked directly down the lens. This helps to achieve a more human and natural connection between the audience.
The trickiest part of this project was conducting the interviews around such sensitive subjects. We aimed to get each person to tell their story in a way that felt real and engaged their emotions, while making sure they felt comfortable during the sessions. Luckily, the team and our interviewees were brilliant.
Post Production
All five films were edited in-house at the Rise Media studios. We created both 16×9 and 9×16 deliverables for each film, both subtitled for use on all social platforms.
