The Brief

Rise had the pleasure of working with Chanel at Highgrove, filming the first cohort of students to graduate from the Chanel and The Prince’s Foundation Métiers d’Art Embroidery Fellowship, in partnership with Le19M. We delivered a highlights reel featuring the graduation ceremony, the artists, the gardens, and their finished creative pieces.

Background & Production

We filmed at Highgrove, where the students had been in residency for 10 weeks developing their art and fashion projects, using the gardens as a rich source of inspiration.

We filmed the students themselves – Durga Shanthakumar, Elsa Searle-Vincent, Laura Roberts, Millie Collins, Eliza Gomersall and Bronagh Murray – alongside their graduation projects, situating the pieces within the stunning gardens.

Post Production

This piece was edited in-house at the Rise Media studios by Sharayah Tokeley. To highlight the specific areas of the gardens which inspired each students’ designs, we experimented with a mixture of visual effects including using masks to overlay a filmic polaroid effect.

Blue Horizons

We created a five minute mini documentary for BBC Storyworks in partnership with Purina. The film focused on a new trial that aims to uncover how kelp and seaweed can be used as biostimulants in farming.

Marc Quinn: Light into Life

We were approached by Kew Gardens to create a captivating TV advert for artist Marc Quinn’s ‘Light into Life’ exhibition. The brief was to create a 30-second, voice-over led hero film, plus a series of engaging shorter edits designed for maximum impact on social media platforms.
